Creme Brulee

I was super excited about this week’s French Fridays with Dorie recipe.  I love crème brûlée.

I got to use my little ramekins meant for crème brûlée.

I got to use my kitchen torch!

I love the crunchy, sugary topping.

I love the creamy vanilla custard.

I love how easy this impressive dessert was to make.

What’s not to love about crème brûlée?

The best crème brûlée I ever made.  Delightful!

  1. Glad this was such a hit for you! I was totally looking forward to using my torch – but no butane 😦
    Have a great holiday!

I love this post! It looks like it turned out beautifully.

  3. Fire + dessert = good times. 🙂

  4. That does look like it was the best creme brulee! A completely empty dish.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! Happy French Friday!

  5. Your photos are wonderful! It looks like you handled the smaller torch much better than I did – for some reason I had more control over John’s larger torch. I had to laugh when he brought it out, but was glad after I tried it. I definitely need more practice. You are so right – this is a delightful dessert!

  6. LOVE IT!! 🙂 Who DOESNT like creme brulee??? 🙂 Happy Christmas!

  7. Ha ha – loved the “going going gone” photos ! Wish I could have grabbed a spoonful of this one- it looks just perfect. Yours really turned out lovely. Leave it to Dorie and FFWD for inspiring us to use all those gourmet gadgets 🙂 Happy 2012 !
